Prometheus, the baby’s on fire!
Vibrant abstract painting with intense reds, layered geometric forms, dotted patterns, and animal-like faces emerging through chaotic interconnected shapes.
(2025) digital abstract painting on iPad with Tayasui Sketches & Procreate

Calling this one finished for now and wondering if posting here the equivalent of turning to the studio wall, you know, post here so it’s out of sight for a while… But not saying I won’t pick this one up again, as like others, it’s been ‘finished’ before. However, for now enjoying the direction these blocky and fragmented works been taking. Essentially more a collage than a painting with the bulk of the composition made up from cutouts and incorporating more print like textures into the mix alongside the patterns and solid colours.

The theme here links with City By The Sea and is another reference to mad orange fire starters which at some point sparked the Eno / Fripp loop playing in my head and lending to the title.

Baby's on fire

Better throw her in the water

Look at her laughing

Like a heifer to the slaughter
